Resort Collections 2014 hit the stores: Get ready to shop!
The Room. (Adam Lippes, Aquazurra,
Jean Paul Gaultier,
J.W. Anderson, Mark Cross Handbags, The Row,
Alexander Wang (RTW), Oscar de la Renta (RTW, Jewellery and Shoes), Versace (RTW and Handbags), Reem Acra, Phillip Treacy hats and Rena Lange.) When designers first started creating Resort collections they were designed for jet-set fashionistas who were heading off to warmer climes. Now they rival the Ready-to-wear lines in terms of sales and popularity because they’re a little more budget-friendly and wearable—even if you’re not jetting off to some warm retreat. The Resort collections start showing up in stores the end of November—just in time to beat the winter blahs.
Read on to see what items from the Resort lines that The Room is now carrying I’d love to include in my dream wardrobe for Dubai.
Adam Lippes is the kind of designer who effortlessly brings a feminine aesthetic to a modern and minimal silhouette. I aspire to be the kind of woman who can casually wear an all-white ensemble as if it’s no big deal. 2.
J.W. Anderson has been one of fashion’s darlings since his mod-paisley suit was a breakout hit in 2011. His 2014 Resort collection is inventive, playful yet wearable. I’d gladly own several pieces, but if I had to settle on one look it would be this one (middle shot). The pleated white skirt, which is also very on trend for spring, is the perfect feminine counterpoint to the arch and architectural black shift top. 3. This is a little bit of stretch for me, but this frothy peach ensemble from
Jean Paul Gaultier has a certain Carrie Bradshaw-esque charm about it.
