1. Karl Lagerfeld. The designer created a 30-piece collection under the label “Karl Lagerfeld for H&M” for the autumn 2004 season.

2. Comme des Garcons.
From preppy cardigans to super-sized scarves and Chuck Taylor look-a-likes, black and white polka dots were spotted all over the collection for both men and women.

3. Karl Lagerfeld.
His comments came from his reported disappointment that the collection was produced in such limited quantities, which, he has said, defeated his intention of making clothes available to the thousands of people who could not afford to shop at Lagerfeld Gallery, Chanel or Fendi. According to reports, he has said that as a result, he will not work with H&M ever again.

4. Vitkor & Rolf.
Not surprisingly, the eccentric Dutch designers created a silk and tulle bridal gown that retained for only $378.00. It remains to be the only bridal piece in any H&M designer collaboration to date.

5. Stella McCartney.
The designer, known for her oversized, menswear-inspired clothes designed an iconic black wool V-neck sweater that remains to be one of her most-recognized pieces.

6. Roberto Cavalli.
The Italian designer enlisted Sean Lennon, Lydia Hearst, Anouck Lepère along with Theodora Richards, Jessica Stam and Julia Roitfeld (daughter of Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld) to model in the campaign. The advertisments — shot at Cavalli’s palatial estate in Florence, Italy — were based on a theme of the “good life”: Glory, glamour and partying.

7. Madonna.
The “M by Madonna” line included street-cool lumber jackets, tailored blazers and kimono-shaped dresses. The entire collection was embellished with a small “m” logo on linings, zippers and buttons while the fabrics varied from silk, wool, viscose jersey to body-sculpting lycra.

8. The sequined jacket. Reportedly it sold out within minutes of hitting the shelves.

9. Viktor & Rolf. Centered on the idea of a fashion love story, the collection — a pretty mix of classic black and white with a smattering of raspberry — had romantic touches from bow-front blouses to patterns that were shaped as hearts.

10. Kylie Minogue. The Australian songstress created a limited beachwear line using 1960s vintage bathing suits as her inspiration point. Kylie was also the face of the beachwear campaign.

11. Viktor & Rolf’s wedding gown
