Spring 2015, Prabal Gurung is at a crossroads. Literally: the runway for the New York designer’s Saturday presentation was lined with several intersections, which makes for an interesting flight path for one model, but can prove fatal once you have a slew of lithe, heeled women all attempting to navigate it at the same time. (Luckily, no model was harmed in the presenting of this collection. #Pros.)
So how beautiful were the looks that came down the runway, albeit confusingly? Click to find out…
For everyone else seated courtside with bated breath–
Will they crash? Can I look as graceful in a fashion traffic jam?, I imagine most spectators asking themselves–, once each model glided her way past you, you were treated to a magical trail of drapey satin and chiffon in bright watercolour hues inspired by the snow-capped Himalayas in Nepal in her wake. And all was well in the world again.
