VBI wandered backstage after the Victoria Beckham show and talked to the designer about the starting point for her Spring 2014 collection.

"I tried to play with proportion this season,"
Victoria Beckham told us backstage after her presenting her tony Spring 2014 collection to a small audience. "It has a
boyish feel, but a feminine way." She stops and laughs. "I’ve calmed myself down now, I was a bit more nervous earlier!"

"For me, this season it’s about shape, literally and conceptually." Beckham says. "I really feel that I’ve perfected my trouser, you can see how I played with it. It’s still structured, and there’s some pleating, but it’s soft."

"There are pops of colour. There’s an ease about this collection, but you can still see the structure. I like to challenge myself each season, and playing with proportion really did that. I got quite emotional at the end. I’m so proud of it!"
