Wouldn’t we all rather spend our winters on the west coast? Northern California to be more exact. If it’s up to
Michael Kors, that’s what we will be doing next winter rather than dealing with a Polar Vortex (a suffering that is seen on every fashion editor’s face at
New York Fashion Week). We’ll be west coast at least in our clothing, anyway. For his
celebrity-filled fall 2014 show (Blake Lively, Rose Byrne and Freida Pinto all braved the cold), Kors was inspired by Big Sur and the northern part of the Golden State – fringed items and breezy dresses brought thoughts of a west coast hippie vibe, chunky sweaters in wool, mohair, alpaca, shearling, flannel and cashmere looked cozy enough to wear as coats, and pieces (dresses, skirts and pants) were laid back with a quiet luxury. Everything super wearable – like you would want to live in it all season long. And of course, the signature Kors girl looks effortlessly beautiful and sexy beauty-wise – this season with a wind-swept knotted bun and defined cheeks (read how
Kors described the hair and makeup to our beauty editor Katherine Flemming).

Here are some of the highlights from the collection. Warning: You’ll want nearly every piece. Right. Now.
