Must-have collab: Roland Mouret for Banana Republic
File this under “Need it now.” After weeks of buzz,
Roland Mouret’s limited-edition capsule for
Banana Republic hit select stores and
bananarepublic.com August 7, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re going to want to. Like, immediately.
Made in the retailer’s signature form-flattering Sloan fabric, the 30-piece collection of dresses and separates stays true to Mouret’s feminine French aesthetic in a pared-down palette of dark pink, royal blue, black and white.
Says the designer: “The French have an attitude of nonchalance when it comes to dressing. Rather than follow trends, they have style, which is what I envisioned for the collaboration. It’s meant to be a collection of timeless wardrobe staples.”
Whereas Mouret’s dresses would normally set you back more than a grand, the Banana Republic collection starts at just $62. “I aspire to make every woman look and feel amazing no matter who they are,” says Mouret.
