Milan Fashion Week Fall 2013: Sam McKnight and Tom Pecheux tell us about the Moschino beauty inspiration
The beauty look at Moschino.
On the hair “Today we’re doing a very clean, young, fresh look. The inspiration is English equestrian—there’s an upperclass vibe. We’ve done a little bit of volume and side part, a ponytail that is done and undone at the same time– there’s an undone feel, but it’s definitely finished. We’ve used Pantene Volume and Body mousse to blow dry volume in, then set it in large tongs. Then we put it into a low pony in the back, covering the ears so it’s softer. There’s a bit of volume in the top. The set is brushed out. It’s not really curly—it’s soft, with a nice movement to it. Soft and fresh and clean and shiny and silky and young.” —Sam McKnight
On the makeup “It’s very fresh. The inspiration: England, youth, girl. So the makeup is very dewy skin, we did a light layer of foundation—a bit of concealer. Creamy blush, a mix of pink and peach—actually orange—and rosy cheeks. A lot of mascara on the top, and a bit of shimmery white gloss on the eyelid. There’s a stain on the lip, and since the collection is super British, we wanted an English rose.” —Tom Pecheux
