The finale at Prada.
How gorgeous was Prada? Luckily, I got the chance to check out the pieces up close. Here’s my photo diary from the Prada show (and the re-see) during Milan Fashion Week.
The Prada show space is attached to Miuccia’s fortress-like studio in Milan’s tony Via Fogazzaro district.

This head-to-toe croc look was surprisingly soft and light to the touch (not stiff, the way most croc pieces are). Leather was treated for two days for an aged effect, and brown was the key colour of the season.

A ladylike 1940s-inspired gingham dress made out of wool jacquard.

All of the fur pieces were made from pekan, a small North American mink-like creature. Those poor little guys are going to have a rough year!
