MFW Fall 2014: Alberta Ferretti tries something new, succeeds wildly
We’re excited too, babe. All photos courtesy of ImaxTree.com.
The face on this model backstage at Alberta Ferretti says it all: WHAT a collection. Ferretti is known for creating dreamy dresses—she has a light touch with lace, a heavy hand with chiffon. For Fall 2014, she experimented with colour and texture, creating the kind of clothes that seem certain to be both cool girl catnip and awards season red carpet bait. Let’s have a look.
Um, hello. Vibrant orange brocade pattern, super cute mock turtleneck—all that’s missing is a cropped moto jacket and a rock star boyfriend. (Loved the socks with sandals styling, but in our It girl scenario, we’d swap them out for studded pointy toe oxfords.)
Textural mastery. Imagine that coat over jeans and a white tee.
Total orange crush.
And the red carpet finale dress. Absolutely lovely. Plus, pockets.
OVER TO YOU! If you could own one of these four looks—which would you choose?
