Editor’s cut Hamish Bowles is doing the rounds to promote the HBO documentary
In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye, and
he talked to The Cut about the magazine’s reputation for being—er—a terrifying place to work. “When I started in 1992, I really thought the Vogue fashion department was one of the most frightening places on the planet,” Bowles admits. “You had these extraordinarily larger-than-life personalities, and we were just coming out of a larger-than-life era in fashion. There were supermodels, and Karl, and Gianni, and Christian Lacroix…and now I think the cast of characters is mellower. I’m not saying it’s not an intimidating place for a junior fashion assistant to start, because these are editors who know what they want and keep you on your toes.”
Verdict: Single tear for the junior assistants.
A model baby Congratulations to Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady!
This morning, the happy couple announced the birth of their second child together, a girl who they have named Vivian Lake. They’ve released a statement on their Facebook page, saying: “We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel…Thank you for all your support and well wishes.”
Verdict: Slow clap (We are in favour of populating the earth with the genetically blessed)

File this under things that can’t be unseen: Olivia Newton John and John Travolta’s new music video. A few questions: What’s with the line dancing? Also, aren’t these two millionaires? Why does this video look like it was a shot on an iPhone?
Verdict: Click to the 3:00 mark for the creepiest part.
