Prince William and
Catherine Middleton‘s imminent arrival in Canada will mark their first tour as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, so how appropriate would it be to see Kate clad in
Canadian designer fashions? Here our top five picks for the princess.

Greta Constantine: We love the nod to our country’s colour and the ease and fluidity of this goddess jumpsuit. It’s more casual than Kate is prone to wear, but the off-shoulder detail will accent her fit physique nicely.

Erdem Moralioglus ivory lace dress with applique is the epitome of youth and loveliness; traits the princess carries with aplomb. We doubt the Nicholas Kirkwood ballet-inspired heels would be approved by her royal entourage, but us girls can dream. (Photo courtesy of

Pink Tartan: Designer Kimberly Newport-Mimran took to the ’70s disco trend quite literally in her spring 2011 collection. Our favourite moments were had when models came down the runway in neon bright, monochromatic looks. We think Kate’s willowy frame would shine in this acid-green look above. It’s a decidedly modern look for the modern bride; plus, we love the wooden platforms (and have a feeling she would, too). (Photo courtesy of Jenna Wakani)

Joe Fresh: A cheeky nod to her husband’s military career, this outfit looks chic and playful as is, but could also work well as separates. Considering Kate eschewed hiring a personal stylist to help her dress for her ever-growing list of engagements, the Duchess will have to learn the ropes of savvy packing.

Jeremy Laing: Sexy yet sophisticated, this paneled dress is perfection. Draped on the body just so, Kate will appreciate its refinement and edge. (Photo courtesy of
