What we saw on the runway at John Galliano wasn’t an wardrobe mishap – it was a surprising new styling trick.

Almost all of the looks in his Spring 2017 runway collection featured a subtle peek of a lacy bralette or silky underwear created in partnership with Parisian lingerie label Velvette, but it was the high-waisted, lace-trimmed undies that stole the show.

The collection was just as much about the underwear as it was about the clothing itself, and what better way to show off a beautiful pair of high-waist undies than by purposely tucking your top into them?
