We’ve seen Chanel Airlines, and before that we witnessed a Chanel Supermarket and a Chanel Brasserie. This season, Karl Lagerfeld brought the brand into the future, turning the Grand Palais into a Chanel Data Centre.

Never one to half-commit to a concept, Karl presented a runway lined with computer processors and had Chanel-clad robots open the technology-themed show. You may not be able to buy a Chanel bag online, but that didn’t stop Lagerfeld and company from geeking out.

Paired with the label’s traditional tweed and sheer chiffon, the modern accessories were the showstoppers this season. Almost every model wore a tilted baseball cap, and bags were digitized with flashing lights. The must-have? A mini robot purse that we’re all dying to get our hands on.

Stars like Lily Rose Depp, Usher, and Courtney Love sat front row to take in the scene, and model Arizona Muse continued her runway comeback, opening the show after the Chanel robots.

Lagerfeld also enlisted Insta-famous and tech-savvy Victoria’s Secret models Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, and Romee Strijd.
