Last night, a knockout roster of models took over Tommy Pier – a dock complete midway rides and games – to present Tommy Hilfiger’s fall/winter 2016 collection. Oh, and did we mention that it was instantly shoppable? Hilfiger, along with the likes of Thakoon, Rebecca Minkoff and Tom Ford, has jumped on the see-now, buy-now train. The designer also tapped Gigi Hadid to be his design collaborator and face of the brand.

“She’s a global, iconic pop culture star” said Hilfiger backstage, telling fashion director Juliana Schiavinatto, “I only work with people I like. Gigi has both feet on the ground, she’s respectful and polite.”

As for the clothes? Tommy Hilfiger is riding the streetwear wave – one that he helped form back in the ’90s. “We’re known for streetwear. We created streetwear in the early ’90s ahead of everyone else. So now we’re remixing it and bringing it back in a brand new way.”

The front-row lineup of Taylor Swift, Yolanda Foster and Martha Hunt was just as start studded as the model cast, which included Taylor Hill, Hailey Baldwin and Binx Walton.
