It’s time to bid
adieu to the in-and-out show culture of yesterday, friends. The next-gen movement of fashion is all about exclusivity, interactivity and enviable immersion. For Dior’s 2016 Resort show, Raf Simons and his team swept fashion’s elite to the media mecca of Cannes, where bloggers and the socially-savvy gave us a taste of what we were missing via Snapchat, an outlet that seems to be trumping Instagram with its intoxicatingly candid captures. Here are some of the exclusive moments you missed when you weren’t watching:
Zoe Kravitz DJ-ing in real-time: Her outfit sparkled through the night as hoards of dewy bodies danced along with the It-girl’s impeccably spun offerings; the "scale-like" cutouts of her top evoked a sort of mermaid-chicness, topped with a boho septum piercing and waist-length locks.

Model Moments:
Hanne Gaby was spotted teaching others how to pronounce
"champagne" backstage (we’ve
so been there!) while other models were spotted laughing, catching up and sipping on France’s best bubbly.
Raf Simons gets real: Lounging on a couch moments before the show, the designer spent time talking inspiration for his latest collection. Fixated by seascapes, nature and artists like Matisse and Picasso, Simons also took a page from the art of glamorous
French sophistication.
Dew-La-La: In the make-up chair, we observed models getting
gloriously dewy skin, immediately transforming our summer “glow” into a totally acceptable skincare choice. #winning
Insider Scoop: The chic and personal Snapchat of blogger Gary Pepper (Nicole Warne) revealed all the yummy, candid moments as she gabbed with writer Susie Bubble – referencing sex,
the seventies, and those stunning Dior shoes.
People LOVED THE SHOES: Meet the new biker boot – buttons, pointed toes and stacked heels are so on point. Literally.
Million-dollar view: Jaws dropped as we got an inside look at Pierre Cardin’s Palais Bulles (Bubble Palace,
bien sûr) and ogled a glimpse over the infinity pool to the Golfe de la Napoulle below. Our Snapchat moral of the story? Life as a Dior girl is a hard one, for sure.
