Ten of Princess Diana’s famous
dresses sold for a total of 1.2 million in a London auction yesterday afternoon. The royal styles came from some of Diana’s favourite designers including Catherine Walker, Zandra Rhodes and Bruce Oldfield. The most coveted item, Diana’s midnight blue Victor Edelstein gown from her renowned dance with John Travolta at the White House, was purchased for over $300,000 by a British citizen. Luckily, museums from around the world purchased a few of the iconic dresses so you can still catch a glimpse of these historical British designs. [
