Blake Lively has joined L’Oréal’s starry stable as the face of beauty brand L’Oréal Paris. At the announcement in Paris, L’Oréal reps praised Blake’s "upper elegance and sensuality", while Blake said that she identified with the brand’s "We’re worth it" message: "What an important value to instil in women. That beauty is rooted in confidence." Also, in Blake’s case, beauty is rooted in really, really
great hair. The announcement marks something of a comeback for the
Gossip Girl actress who took a one-year hiatus after marrying actor Ryan Reynolds last September. Her next movie project is the romantic drama
Adaline, in which Blake plays an immortal woman who falls in love with a mortal. (No word yet on who the mortal will be, although we’d love to see Blake on screen with Henry Cavill. Um. Right?) Blake is also going the
Gwyneth Paltrow route—she’s let slip that she’s starting a lifestyle empire
à la GOOP. In the battle of the blond princesses, who will emerge the victor? What do you think?
