Our guest blogger Jay Strut‘s first show of the season, Houghton NYC Spring/Summer 2013. Photos courtesy of Jay Strut.

So the past couple of days have been uber crazy! You can’t even imagine how toned my legs must be from all the walking, sashaying and running I’ve been doing here in New York for New York Fashion Week! Not only have I been going to shows this season but I have been going backstage and snapping some lovely street style shots. The first show of the season I checked out was Houghton NYC! I shared a bench with some pretty ladies, but more importantly, Bergdorfs’ Linda Fargo! I had such an epic moment, we even locked eyes for a good 1.17 seconds (at least)…

The show was gorgeous and had so many amazing pieces come down the runway. There was a gorgeous selection and it was all super cohesive and pretty. You can see more on my
personal blog.
For the next show, I had to get up bright and early. It was the Prabal Gurung’s Spring/Summer 2013 runway show and you know I didn’t want to miss this! The weather seemed a bit cooler so I threw on my new pair of Balmain jeans from super awesome Canadian online high-fashion retailer,
SSENSE, my signature
Les Plus Dores ‘Team Slimane’ Slimane T-shirt, and my new black studded docs (YES STUDDED!!) for a chic noir et blanc look for the day.
Backstage at Prabal was beyond gorgeous and was the perfect precursor to the show! I not only loved how much white there was in this collection, but how much dimension and pretty details also accompanied the gorgeous pieces.
The show was gorgeous! Post-show, I grabbed a couple snaps outside of some stylish ladies and caught up with some friends and fellow bloggers also in town for fashion week! By the end of all this, it was definitely time for a well=deserved burger break. So myself and my friend Allen & Natalie Levy from Grey Ant sunglasses (which I will be sharing soon) went over the the coolest little diner on 14th and 9th in the meatpacking district and did ourselves some good. By evening, I was a little distraught and pooped from all the commuting and show-going but I got a call from my friend Corey Kindberg and magically ended up at the penthouse suit of the Nomad Hotel for a chic little soiree, only in New York!
