We’re proud of every page in each issue of ELLE Canada, but some months, some pages are just a little more special than the others. Take October: I can’t even begin to calculate how many hours the team spent producing the content that’s captured on pages 80 to 83. We think it was worth the time—and we hope you do too. So, what’s happening on these pages? They are your kickoff point to
#shopyourmood, a co-branded fashion campaign that we launched with
Hudson’s Bay. What we’re really jazzed about are our
first-ever shoppable videos. Think of them as the truly modern shopping guide. The five videos were directed by Arkan Zakharov, styled by Juliana Schiavinatto and star top Canadian model Pamela Bernier. Each one-minute video has a distinct fall fashion look from Hudson’s Bay that is themed around a mood:
soundtrack is by indie artists Elliphant, Until the Ribbon Breaks, Erik Hassle and Bob Moses. We wanted to keep pushing the tech envelope, which is why we’re proud to introduce our
viewa-optimized pages. It’s a free app that our sisters at ELLE Australia use to bring interactivity to their pages. (You can download it from
Google Play). You simply scan the page, and a 3-D interface appears that lets you watch the videos or shop individual pieces on the page. It’s simple to use and it’s very cool. Promise. Our shoppable videos are also
really easy to use. When you see the dot, get ready to shop. Click
anywhere on the screen to stop the video. Next, click on the dot (its centre will turn red) and a window will pop up containing information about the product, its price and a “Shop” link that takes you to the item on
