Lifestyle brand and bohemian boutique hotel concept Coqui Coqui is all about creating a home away from home with small luxurious touches that celebrate the rugged natural beauty of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Argentinian landscape architect and perfumer Nicolas Malleville started the Coqui Coqui perfumery in 2003 with his wife Francesca Bonato and since then the brand has grown to include a collection of private residences, home fragrances and decor which just got more accessible thanks to a new collaboration with H&M Home.

“As a brand, Coqui Coqui has been rooted in our interpretation of the explorer’s lifestyle,” explain the founders in the press release announcing the collab. “With this new collection, we’ve gone back to revisit many of the classic items that have been an extension of Coqui Coqui for decades. The collaboration with H&M Home pays homage to the landscapes, botanicals, and the folklore of the charming tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world that we inhabit. In essence – collectible objects that make you feel at home, no matter where in the world you may be.”

As of August 8, a 26-piece interiors collection, including two exclusive new fragrances will be available across selected stores and online so that world travellers can incorporate the sights and smells of the Coqui Coqui residentes in Coba and Bora Bora into their everyday life.

The new scents, Flores de Yucatán and Vétyvers du Pacifique, are at the core of the collaboration and are available as candles, reed diffusers, room sprays and scented cards. “We believe in fragrance as the ultimate sensory experience,” says Malleville. The scents were created from the herbs, flowers, fruits, woods, and roots of the Yucatan Peninsula region and the Îles de la Société and aim to “invite the wearer to connect with nature and experience the transportive power of scent.”

The collection also includes pieces that can enhance your travels including a beach bag, towel, throw blanket and robe. “These objects are made to treasure and to use,” says Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, H&M Home Head of Design & Creative. “Take them with you on your journeys or use them in the sanctuary of your home.”

Other unique pieces include a wooden base bell jar inspired by the Coqui Coqui perfumery, embossed dark green and beige velvet cushions and functional home decor pieces like a porcelain tea set, a gold stainless steel jug with matching cups and a tray, a handmade terracotta vase and woven catch-all basket all of which can be used to create a perfect indulgent moment at home.
