When Kate Middleton is looking for a bespoke special-occasion gown, you know she calls 1-800-Jenny (Packham, not Craig).
design house that has outfitted the Duchess of Cambridge consistently over the years (most memorably with that polka-dot dress she wore to take George home) once again took up its needles and custom-made Kate a gown. This time, it was an impeccably fitted LBD, which she wore to unveil a portrait of the Queen (sort of the royal equivalent of taking your grandmother-in-law out for a Sunday drive). The long-sleeved dress was embroidered with a beaded silver fern and is probably the closest to Lady Gaga-style shoulder bling Catherine Windsor will ever get.
