For its spring/summer 2019 show during New York Fashion Week, Alice + Olivia took us on a global adventure without leaving the city. How did Stacey Bendet’s latest designs—inspired by women from around the world—accomplish the feel of international travel from a NYC runway, you may ask? By moving her travel-themed show, aptly titled “Passport to Wonderland,” aboard the Fashion Yacht at the Chelsea Piers, co-hosting the event with travel site Booking.com. The presentation space on the 70-foot yacht was transformed into an intricate set, with sections modelled to evoke different locales—like a Parisian café and the regal countryside of Provence—for ultimate getaway vibes.

Because the Alice + Olivia show left us with a very strong urge to pack our Rimowa suitcase and hop on the first flight available, here are five destinations to jetset to based on the new collection.

Paris

The looks: According to Booking.com, 60 percent of Canadian travellers consider Paris to be the most stylish city in the world—a vibe the Alice + Olivia collection captured with scarf prints and chic reversible jackets.

Editor tip: We recommend staying in the heart of the city for the full experience—the Be You Luxury Apart’Hotel – La Poudrée apartment hotel, for example, is chic, vibrant and steps away from the famed Moulin Rouge.

Marrakech

The looks: In the Marrakech section of the fashion show, Bendet showcased breezy dresses trimmed with lace, as well as black and neon yellow looks.

Editor tip: We’ve already made our case for visiting the chic Moroccan capital: one-of-a-kind boutiques and local vendors, delicious food and a museum dedicated to YSL himself. El Fenn, Vanessa Branson’s 28-room former palace turned boutique arts hotel, is a must-try spot for dinner and drinks and has an amazing views to boot.

Provence

The looks: Whimsical and delicate white and blues reigned supreme in Bendet’s Provence. What better to wear when frolicking in the French countryside, after all?

Editor tip: Stay at the dream-worthy Couvent des Minimes in quaint Provence village Mane. A former convent built in the early 17th century is now a luxe hotel set in sprawling gardens with a L’Occitane Spa on site.

Tokyo

The looks: Springtime in Japan for the brand meant beautiful pastels, necktie scarves and a lavender wall of hundreds of maneki-neko (a cat talisman meant to bring good luck).

The destination: What did we do when we had a mere 24 hours in Tokyo at the end of last year? Snacked on a grilled pumpkin matcha burger at the ELLE Café, did karaoke at the luxe 1 Oak lounge and got lost in the thrilling bustle of the city.
