Airbnb Enters The Luxury Travel Market
And they have some next-level extravagant homes.
A 2019 Businesswire study determined the luxury travel market to be worth more than $200 billion, and that number is expected to continue growing. With Airbnb Luxe, the vacation rental platform is taking a giant step into the bespoke travel market.
The new tier of rentals will appeal to those looking for something beyond the typical luxe-hotel experience. Personalized elements and custom add-ons are aplenty. Need a 24 hour butler? Done. Personal driver? Check. State-of-the-art fridge fully stocked with your must-haves? You got it.
In 2018, the number of Airbnb bookings for listings worth at least $1,000 per night increased more than 60 percent. That’s quite a jump. With dedicated trip designers (aka dedicated travel agents) and destinations scattered over the globe, Airbnb Luxe has something for anyone looking to splurge big time.
Ahead, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite Airbnb Luxe destinations (hey, a girl can dream!).
