It can be overwhelming to navigate this world of products, media and content—should you buy that moisturizer? What TikTok shouldn’t you scroll past? Is that TV show really worth the hype? To help ELLE Canada readers stay in the know, every month, we’re going to be sharing what we’ve been loving throughout the month—from beauty to clothing to movies. Think of it as the crème de la crème of recommendations.
The Zephyr Mattress, Polysleep
If you want the best sleeping experience, The Zephyr Mattress by Polysleep is by far the holy grail when it comes to sleeping surfaces. It features advanced technology to wick away moisture, regulate body temperature, and comfortably support every type of sleeper. Crafted from ISO-certified medical-grade antimicrobial foam that reduces the proliferation of bacteria and dust mites, the Zephyr mattress also has an organic cover with Nanobionic® Technology, redirecting the energy emitted by the body during sleep, resulting in a more restorative, deeper sleep.

Enda Regenerative Wool Sweater, Reformation
Need something cozy yet sophisticated to throw on with leggings? This wool sweater from Reformation will carry you from a festive night in or to a holiday party. It’s an easy fitting knit that’s suuuper soft and stretchy, giving us an extra comfortable feel while we celebrate the season. It’s also made of 100% traceable regenerative wool (more on that here.) that is good for you and the environment.

House of Gucci
If you’re craving a night of drama, might we suggest Ridley Scott’s new film House of Gucci? The film centers around Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) an “outsider” to wealth and luxury who meets Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver) the grandson of Gucci founder, Guccio Gucci. The couple is seemingly happy, but overtime, Patrizia’s desire for fame tears apart the family’s legacy and a spiralling amount of betrayal, decadence and revenge ensues. It’s a must watch for anyone interested in the world of designer fashion—it’s also based on a true story.
Vanilla Collagen Creamer, Dose & Co
Recently launched in Canada, Dose & Co’s collagen products are a great addition to your morning coffee or mid-day smoothie. The powdered supplements provide a high-dose of collagen to strengthen hair, nails and skin—plus Khloé Kardashian is the brand’s global ambassador. After 28 days, 100% of users saw results in desired areas. We love the Collagen Creamer (available in vanilla and caramel flavours.)

Magic Tx Hair Treatment, Torreh
Get ready to transform your mane with this lightweight hair treatment from Canadian brand Torreh. This vegan product is designed to protect, nourish and strengthen the scalp before washing it. For best results, section dry hair and spray the product directly at the root. Work it through the hair using a comb, or massage with your fingertips in a circular motion. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes and wash away!
Price: $65
Cigar Band, Melanie Auld
It doesn’t get more classic than a gold cigar band. This one from Vancouver-based brand Melanie Auld is stunning, and is sure to be your new everyday jewelry piece. Made in Spain, this bold band will level up your ring game, and it’s made of 10k solid gold! For the best fit, we recommend going one size up from your normal ring size. If you’re keen to shop IRL, they also have locations in Vancouver and Toronto (which just opened!)

Ribbed Cami in Oasis, Silk Laundry
Say it with us: layer, layer, layer. When winter hits, it’s important to make sure you’re layering and are dressed for optimal warmth the second you step outside your front door. The first step to layering is to have a good base. This ribbed cami from Silk Laundry is an ideal layering piece. Its thin straps and round neckline form to your body and the ribbed silk material is finely woven to create the perfect, barely-there texture.

Stressed Skin Kit, SKINBYVEE
If your skin is feeling stressed and sensitive this time of year, join the club. From finishing up work projects to holiday shopping—our lives are hectic right now! This skin kit from SKINBYVEE is going to be a treat for your skin. It comes with tools designed to destress the skin and improve circulation: The Elemis cleansing balm and the SKINBYVEE gua sha cryo sticks (this tool looks intimidating, but we promise, the benefits of cryo are amazing!) In practice, these two products are the dream team for keeping skin calm and soothed.

Rattan Mochila Tote, envello
In Spanish, mochila means backpack. A new collaboration with eco-friendly bedding company envello and Columbian-based shop Mochila Market is taking the traditional Spanish accessory and bringing it to a Canadian audience. Each mochila is unique and depending on its size, takes its weaver on average between 10-16 days to complete by hand. Mochilas are durable and can be used to carry anything—we love this black and white rattan tote, which we’ll be sporting around this season (and into spring and summer!)
Price: $180
Alexander McQueen Toronto Store, Yorkdale Shopping Centre
The first ever Alexander McQueen store in Canada opened its doors on December 1. The store is home to women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, displayed through McQueen clad mannequins. When you step in, shoppers are greeted with a conceptually-designed store thanks to creative director Sarah Burton and architect Smiljan Radic. Drawing on a fascination with nature that underpins the core values of the brand, different variations of wood (oak and walnut, light and dark) are present, appearing on the floors and walls. There is also experimentation on display, with a back wall clad in “cotton-crete’ – a cotton-based paper mâché, and the main change room, a glass cylinder wrapped in a one-of-a-kind butterfly tapestry. In tandem, these elements create an inviting and warm experience for clients—which flows with the ethos of Alexander McQueen.
The Super Puff™ Mitten, Aritzia
Now that you’ve got a good winter coat and boots, you need the best accessories. These responsible down-filled mittens are the perfect winter accessory to have. Not only are they chic, but they’re water repellant and wind resistant—meaning they’re bound to keep your hands warm and toasty all day. They come in a myriad of colours, including this marble gray, and patterns like corduroy. They’re the warmest mittens you’ll ever buy and will last a long time, hands down (pun intended.)
