Coach’s newest collection, created with Observed by Us (a mostly-on-Instagramfor- now project from actor Kirsten Dunst and illustrator Jessica Herschko), is a true delight. Featuring an original selection of whimsical motifs, from dinosaurs to spaceships to mushrooms—all drawn by California-based Herschko—this collaboration is intended to tell stories and spark joy. When the Rolex Day-Date wristwatch launched in 1956 with a face that displayed—you guessed it—the date and the day of the week in letters, it was at the vanguard of innovation. Today, the famed timekeeper brand has taken this iconic model and given it a makeover. In 18-carat yellow, white or Everose gold, the Oyster Perpetual Day Date 36 features a multicoloured face set with orange, turquoise and green baguette cut sapphires, and rather than telling the day of the week, the champlevé dial displays words of inspiration (like “love,” “gratitude” and “hope”), while the date has been replaced by 31 exclusive emojis. Ferragamo’s newest Canadian boutique will open on Bloor Street in Toronto on September 1 and will be offering some exclusive accessories and a broad selection of runway looks from the Italian luxury-fashion label.
