The dessert genius helping us get the July edition out the door is pastry chef Micol Corno. Corno opened her "dessert boutique" on Toronto’s Avenue Road after going to culinary school in Rome. Her passion is simple: "I want to make desserts people can’t wait to dig their teeth into," says Corno, whose own favourite indulgence is "cookies and ice cream, preferably together!". The ELLE Canada team got the chance to sample some of
Chocolate Brunette‘s most popular items, including peanut-butter-and-beer-nut topped cupcakes, Belgian-chocolate filled cupcakes, and caramel-bit filled shortbread cookies. The biggest hit (the word "amazing" was used ALOT) were the Heavenly Bites, nutella cookies that are incidentally their biggest seller.
