Sir Tom Jones is to kick off the 2011 English Heritage Picnic Concerts on Friday (24.06.11).
The legendary singer will perform at London’s prestigious Kenwood House, where he will treat fans – who will descend onto the expansive grounds with picnic blankets and hampers in hand – to songs from his celebrated latest album ‘Praise & Blame’ as well as his greatest hits, before hitting the stage at Audley End, Saffron Walson, Essex, on 30 July.
The following night at Kenwood House (25.06.11), Jools Holland will perform with special guest Sandie Shaw and says he can’t wait.
He said: “My Orchestra and I are delighted to return to the English Heritage Picnic Concerts in 2011. Having performed at Kenwood House in 2009, I know what an immense pleasure it is to be on stage at such a spectacular event with fantastic live music at one of the most magical settings in Britain and certainly in North London.”
Other stars to perform at the shows include Liza Minnelli, George Benson, Scouting for Girls, Sophie Ellis Bextor and The Saturdays.
