Tinchy Stryder was amazed at how “humble” Jay-Z is.

The British rapper teamed up with the music mogul to launch Takeover RocNation – an artist management venture which oversees recording and touring – and despite the ’99 Problems’ hitmaker’s global success, his new friend found him to be down-to-earth.

He said: “I first met Jay Z in Manchester backstage at his show. He really makes you feel welcome – He’s so humble and down-to-earth.”

Tinchy also admitted he hasn’t yet signed anyone to Takeover RocNation, though he is still searching for new talent with star quality.

He said: “I haven’t signed anyone up yet – I’m still looking for that raw talent.”

As well as his work with Takeover RocNation and his clothing label, Star in the Hood, Tinchy is also focused on his own music career and has drawn up a diverse wish-list of artists he would love to feature on his next album.

He said: “I’ve got a few people I’d like to collaborate with – I like a lot of different genres and all of them are talented in what they do. They’d have to be Rihanna, Jessie J, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and The Script

“I’m looking to release my next album by the end of this year or early next year.”
