There are comebacks, and then there are returns-from-the-pop-culture-dead of recording breaking proportions. What do we mean? Exhibit A: Justin Bieber, who with his new blonde hair just smashed a musical record formerly held by The Beatles. 

Biebs’ new album, Purpose, not only had the biggest first week of any album of the year, but has now made it possible for Stratford, Ont’s finest to boast that he has the most singles EVER on Billboard Hot 100 in one week, 17 to be precise. That record was formerly 14, held by some English band called the Beatles, and very recently matched by another guy from Toronto, Drake. 

Oh, and he’s also tied in the top spot for most singles ever in the Billboard Top 5 at once (3).
