Rizzle Kicks want to make a ”weird” record with Olly Murs.
The duo – Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule –
collaborated with the ‘Thinking of Me’ hitmaker on UK number one single ‘Heart Skips a Beat’, and are keen to team up with him for a different type of track.
Jordan said: ”We’d like to do something weird and different with Olly. With him being a pop star and that, it would be cool to see him out of his comfort zone. He’s a great singer.”
The ‘Down With Trumpets’ hitmakers are currently touring the UK and think their stage show appeals to anyone willing to get involved with having some fun.
Jordan added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: ”If anyone wants to come and see us enjoy ourselves, I’m 95 per cent sure we’ll be able to deliver.
”I don’t think people will enjoy us if they are really p***ed off about something or if they are standing there tweeting on their BlackBerry.”
Although Rizzle Kicks were one of several new acts to break into the UK mainstream last year, they think what has set them apart is how long and hard they have worked for their success.
Jordan said: ”What’s weird is that some artists take off on the back of a certain song. People like Wretch 32 and Ed Sheeran.
”But with us we were working on our music for two years before the day our track came to the attention of Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton.”
