Rizzle Kicks still have to pinch themselves when they think about their success.
The ‘Mamma Do the Hump’ group have scored three UK top ten singles and the group’s members – Jordan ‘Rizzle’ Stephens and Harley ‘Sylvester’ Alexander – still can’t believe how popular they have become.
Harley said: ”Jordan was flipping burgers and I was a teaching assistant before we got a record deal. It’s nuts to think how quickly things have changed for us.
”We have to pinch ourselves when we think how far we’ve come.”
One particular highlight for the group has been when they played at London’s Wembley stadium, and managed to get the whole crowd to sing along with one of their songs.
Jordan added to Reveal magazine: ”Performing at Wembley was kind of mental. When we stepped on stage, it really hit home that this was a huge deal. We had 10,000 people jumping up and down to ‘Down With the Trumpets’. The place went crazy. I guess that’s our favourite memory, but there’s been loads.”
‘Stereo Typical’ is out now.
