Nicola Roberts is looking forward to experiencing the “chaos” of the Girls Aloud dressing room again.

The 26-year-old singer – who is joined in the band by Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle – is excited about a proposed 10-year reunion in 2012, but is shocked the group have been in the spotlight for so long.

She said: “It will be nice to experience the chaos of the dressing room again and the company. 10 years have flown by, though.

“When I first got in the band I remember Kylie Minogue was being awarded for a decade in the industry and that seemed incredible and now we have been – it freaks me out.

“We never planned it. You only make a record if people want you to but we feel that the public put us together and they’ve chosen for us to keep going.”

Nicola’s personal career highlight is to be singing as her day job as she used to dream about it as a child.

She said: “When I was younger, I used to go to sleep every night and pray I’d be a singer, so really it’s just the day to day life I’ve got now, the opportunities, the places we’ve travelled, the lessons we’ve learned and the fact that we have each other.

“I left school at 16 and went straight into the band so it feels like my whole adult life has been about Girls Aloud.”
