LMFAO were forced to abandon a gig after a fire broke out in the concert venue they were playing in.

The ‘Party Rock Anthem’ hitmakers – made up of Redfoo and SkyBlu – had to stop halfway through their set at the Coliseo Nacional de Ingenieros in Honduras on Wednesday night (28.12.11) after smoke reportedly began to fill the arena, according to TMZ.

While no-one was seriously injured in the blaze, more than 7,000 fans were evacuated from the venue and at least 15 people are believed to have been treated in a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

Writing on his twitter page, Redfoo later said: “Epic concert tonight!!!! Everybody in Honduras, we set the place on fire!!!!

“They told us that there was a fire when we were on stage. Then we went to the dressing rooms and there was smoke in the halls.

“On a serious note. Hope everybody is safe from the fire tonight! love you Honduras! (sic)”

The duo continued their tour in the Guatemalan city of Escuintla last night (29.12.11).
