Lady Gaga performed a five song secret show in London last night (11.05.11)

The ‘Judas’ hitmaker appeared at exclusive member’s club Annabels where she played for a small crowd of 150 fans including stars Kate Moss, Florence Welch, Gerri Halliwell and Holly Valance.

Clad in black, the singer wowed the audience with tracks from her new album ‘Born This Way’.

After seeing the show, Twitter user Patrick Hayward wrote: “Amazing night -Lady Gaga at Annabels she was incredible What a voice. No gimmicks just absolute quality (sic).”

Gaga – who finished her marathon The Monster Ball Tour in Mexico last week – has also compared her energetic shows to “a religious experience”.

She told The Guardian newspaper: “It’s more like a pop cultural church. It’s more self-worship, I think, not of me. I’m teaching people to worship themselves.”

Gaga also feels she would like to be a “leader” and make a difference to people’s lives, rather than just be a pop singer.

She added: “I never wanted to look pretty on stage and sing about something we’ve all heard about before. I’d much rather write a song called Judas and talk about betrayal and forgiveness and feeling misunderstood, and talk to the fans and figure out what it is society needs. If I can be a leader, I will.”
