Katy B wants to collaborate with Alicia Keys.

The ‘Broken Record’ singer cites the musician as a huge influence on her career and she would love to meet up with Alicia when she performs in London later this year to celebrate a decade since the release of her debut LP ‘Songs in A Minor’by performing at the historic Royal Albert Hall.

Katy said: “My dream collaboration would be Alicia Keyes because she’s so good. When I was 13 I wanted to be her. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since she realeased ‘Songs in A Minor’. I’d love to do something with her. Call me Alicia!”

Although Katy has been hailed for taking dubstep to a more mainstream audience, she insists her music is a mix of different genres and admitted she was a big fan of Destiny’s Child when she was younger.

Katy, 21, told BANG Showbiz: “I’m a mixture of all the UK underground genres, I’m not just dubstep, in my music there are hardcore samples, breaks, house. I started off listening to a lot of Alicia Keys and Destiny’s Child but then as I got older I started listening to more of the neo soul kind of things like Jill Scott. The way Jill Scott writes is she writes about really simple things but she does it really beautifully and that influenced me to make my lyrics a bit more interesting.”
