Jessie J is kept “sane” by Ellie Goulding.

The ‘Price Tag’ hitmaker has grown “really close” to the ‘Starry Eyed’ singer and counts her as one of the few people who she can really relate to.

She said: “I’m really close with Ellie Goulding. She keeps me sane as she’s one of the people who can understand what my life is like.”

Jessie – who was bullied at school after being diagnosed with a heart defect at the age of 11 – doesn’t have many male friends, but she has recently got to know Jason Derulo and enjoys “taking the p**s” out of the ‘Watcha Say’ singer.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “I’ve recently become friends with Jason Derulo. He is so cool – I take the p**s out of him a lot! And Fearne Cotton, and I got on really well with Dermot O’Leary when I did ‘X Factor’. I’m really close with Tinie Tempah too. He came over for dinner last week.”

The ‘Who’s Laughing Now’ hitmaker has around “10 really good girlfriends”, but she admits some don’t get in touch with her because they think she will be too busy with her showbiz lifestyle.

She explained: “I’ve had friends who’ve dipped in and out of my life, who’ve said, ‘I just didn’t want to bother you.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re one of my best friends. You calling me is not bugging me.’

“There have been times when people don’t call me because they presume I’m busy. Don’t presume!”
