Jake Shears ”can’t wait” for Scissor Sisters to release new music.
The eccentric front-man – who stars in the band alongside Ana Matronic, Babydaddy, Del Marquis and Randy Real – is excited about their forthcoming release ‘Magic Hour’ and is looking forward to fans being able to hear it.
He wrote on twitter: ”Scissors just announced our new album. It’s called Magic Hour and is out at the end of may! V happy right now. Can’t wait 4 u 2 hear. (sic)”
The New York-based band will precede the album with song ‘Only The Horses’, produced by Calvin Harris, and Jake has admitted the Scottish star was the perfect person to work on the single.
He said: ”When we wrote ‘Only The Horses’, I immediately knew that Calvin would help knock it out of the park.”
Discussing the rest of the album, the follow-up to 2010 album ‘Night Work’, Jake said: ”It’s a sweet joyful melange of beat driven future-pop. It style hops all over the place unabashedly.”
