You oughta know…that the 90’s are well and truly having a revival moment. What you might not know is that a classic (Canadian!) album is riding the nostalgia bandwagon all the way to a new life as a musical.

Alannis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill: The Musical will be taking its first bow in 2018, with a little help from Diablo Cody (of Juno fame) and Tony-winning director Diane Paulus. According to Cody, Morissette’s songs will be worked into a “a modern and multi-generational family and their complex dynamics, touching on issues of gender identity and race.”

Morissette, who says this is a dream come true for her, also had this to say: “The chemistry between all of us is crackling and I feel honored to be diving into these songs again, surrounded by all of this searing talent.”

No word yet on whether the plotline has room for cameos from any of Morissette’s famous exes (Dave Mathews? Ryan Reynolds?).
