FKA twigs is a woman of many talents: she’s an acclaimed singer-songwriter, actor and dancer. She demonstrated the latter ability while paying tribute to Prince at the 62nd Grammy Awards, in a performance led by Usher and assisted by Prince’s longtime percussionist Sheila E.
Despite a phenomenal pole-dancing performance to the medley, some viewers were disappointed that twigs didn’t get to show off her vocals, too.
Not a fan of FKA Twigs being reduced to a pole dancer while Usher sings, even if it is a Prince tribute #GRAMMYs

FKA twigs responded in a tweet: “of course i wanted to sing at the grammys. i wasn’t asked this time but hopefully in the future. none the less what an honour. congratulations to all winners x”

Personally, we can’t complain about watching FKA twigs dance effortlessly on a pole (an incredibly athletic undertaking), but we see where everyone’s coming from.
