Eliza Doolittle has insured her legs for £5 million.

The 23-year-old singer is proud of her long limbs and thinks they are one of the reasons why she has been so successful, so is taking action to ensure she is protected in the event of an accident.

She said: “The legs have become a big part of my career. I even have giant versions in my stage show.

“Every time I get photographed it’s the legs. So I’ve insured them for a lot, for £5million each. Is that enough?”

The ‘Pack Up’ hitmaker is now looking forward to writing her second album, the follow-up to her 2010 self-titled debut LP, and has vowed not to alter her lively pop sound.

She added to the Daily Star newspaper: “I go into the studio this week to start putting down ideas.

“I have a lot of lyrics and melodies recorded on my phone but nothing is finished. I end up chatting more than writing in the studio but hopefully we’ll come up with something.

“I’m working with Wayne Hector. Plan B and I have talked about doing something together, too, when he gets some time. I’d love to work with Tinie Tempah as well.

“I recorded the last album in the spring and that obviously influenced my sound. As a writer I try to do different things but I’m not going to become a darker artist or turn into Radiohead overnight. I don’t think that’s my style.”
