Drake has collaborated with Stevie Wonder on his new album.

The hip-hop star is a huge fan of the Motown singer and was honoured when he agreed to work with him on six tracks of his second record, ‘Take Care’.

He told Canadian TV Channel MuchMusic: “Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honoured to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business. This is an exclusive right here: Stevie Wonder is actually on `Take Care’.”

Drake added Stevie was fully involved with the recording and gave him lots of helpful advice.

He said: “I asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like, ‘I will be there’. Not only that, but he was supposed to do two songs and he did like six. It was incredible.

“He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience.”

Drake has also worked with British indie Musician Jamie Smith from The xx on ‘Take Care’, as well as singer Florence Welch aka Florence and the Machine.

He said: “The praises I’ll sing most is definitely The xx and Jamie, we’re working on ‘Take Care’ together. Jamie is probably one of the most exciting producers I’ve ever heard.”
