Dappy is working with Queen guitarist Brian May on his new single.

The rapper has recorded the track with the ‘We Will Rock You’ musician – who also recently featured on Lady Gaga’s single ‘You and I’ – after he praised his recent single ‘No Regrets’.

Dappy told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “He said I deserve an award – I couldn’t believe it! So I had to hit him up to work with me.

“I’m flying to LA in the morning to work on the video with him.”

Dappy has recently started on his career as a solo artist after taking a break from his regular group N-Dubz, and said he wanted to branch out from making hip hop tracks and record a “huge” ballad.

He said: “I’m going to work with Eg White who does Adele’s stuff. I want a big ballad like her. She really inspired me.

“I’ve got a voice so I want to make sure I do something huge on the piano. I want to do an ‘Angels’ like Robbie Williams.”

Dappy has said how thinks his solo album will be a rap landmark, because he’s doing all of the vocals himself.

He said: “Lots of people who rap get people to sing on their hooks, but when I release my stuff they won’t be able to do that anymore.

“They’ll have to sing on the record by themselves. They can’t get Chris Brown or whoever to do it for them. They have to sing and rap on the track themselves as that’s what I’m doing. I’m M-singing not MCing.”
