Damon Albarn has had talks about a Blur reunion in 2011.

Although the British indie group had vowed not to release any new material after reforming for a tour in 2009, frontman Damon has admitted there have been some discussions on a “small” scale about a collaboration in the new year

He said: “We did talk about doing something in January, something small, no career-based world domination ideas.”

However, the singer – who is joined in the ‘Parklife’ group by guitarist Graham Coxon, drummer Dave Rowntree and bassist Alex James – is too busy touring with his other band, Gorillaz, at the moment to think about returning to Blur.

Speaking about the five weeks Gorillaz have just spent playing in the US, Damon said: “I’ve never experienced anything like it. It was the most powerful reaction I’ve had.”

The 42-year-old singer also revealed he is happier making music now than ever before because he has stopped thinking of music as a job.

He explained to Sky News: “Once I stopped seeing it as a career and just started making music – things have got a lot easier.”
