Beverley Knight wants to sing on a dubstep track.

The soul singer is a massive fan of crossover artist Katy B and while she wouldn’t want to take her career in a dubstep direction, she would love to work with her or producers Magnetic Man on a track.

Speaking at the Sony Radio Academy Awards earlier this week, she told BANG Showbiz: “A lot of people have asked me about dubstep, and I don’t know if that is necessarily something I would go off and do a whole album of, but would I feature on a Katy B or a Magnetic Man track? Hell yes! But in terms of me going off and doing dubstep all by myself? Unfortunately, no.”

‘Soul Survivor’ singer Beverley is also glad to see young British female artists doing so well in the charts at present

She added: “Jessie J is also really great, she’s really cool and quirky, but has all the R ‘n’ B chops in her vocals. And of course Adele, I love her and I’m so glad she is doing so well.”

Beverley, 38, is also looking forward to the release of her new album of covers, ‘Soul UK’, which comes out on July 4 and features her take on tracks by Soul II Soul, Loose Ends, Jamiroquai and George Michael, among others.
