Tickets to see Liam Gallagher’s new band, Beady Eye, in the UK sold out in under half an hour.

The band – which features four of the five members who were in Oasis when they split last year – announced their debut UK and European dates this week, but overwhelming demand saw the six dates in Glasgow, Manchester and London sell out immediately after going on sale at 10am this morning (26.11.10).

Fans displayed a mixed reaction on twitter, with bryshoebox87 scoring tickets to see the band in Liam’s hometown, writing: “Beady Eye, Manchester Apollo. LET’S AVE IT! (sic).”

Ptayles1 was also excited, tweeting: “On a bright note – we’re gonna be the first people to see beady eye on tour (sic).”

Not all British fans were as lucky, however, with navigatornic writing: “Resigned to the fact I’ve no chance of getting BeadyEye tickets 🙁 stuck in queues. (sic)”

Twitter user Marmthemod displayed a more enterprising approach, hatching a plan to see the band play in mainland Europe.

He tweeted: “Didn’t buy Beady eye tix – decided we’re going to Amsterdam and will get a ticket from a tout or something at the gig (sic).”

Tickets to see the ‘Bring The Light’ band in France, Holland, Germany, Spain and Belgium also went on sale this morning, but are also expected to sell out fast.
