Madonna is ”so nervous” about her impending Super Bowl performance.
The 53-year-old singer will take to the stage during the NFL Super Bowl XLVI Half Time Show on Sunday (05.02.12) and feels pressure to deliver ”the greatest show on earth”.
She said: ”Oh my god, I’m so nervous. You have no idea.
”First of all, it’s the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is kind of like the holiest of holy in America. I’m going to come in halfway between the church experience and I’m going to have to deliver a sermon that’s going to have to be very impactful.
”I have to put on the greatest show on earth in the middle of the greatest show on earth.”
The ‘Hung Up’ hitmaker admitted she is also feeling the pressure to stay within the time constraints of her set.
She told Anderson Cooper in an episode of his talk show, set to air in the US tomorrow (02.02.12): ”I have eight minutes to set it up and seven minutes to take it down. I have 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth. OK, that’s a lot of pressure.”
Madonna’s set will include her comeback single ‘Give Me all Your Luvin’, which will see her joined on stage at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, by guest stars M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj.
