Arctic Monkeys would let Miles Kane join the band “in a second”.

The ‘Suck it and See’ group have had a long association with solo artist Miles – who collaborated with frontman Alex Turner on their Last Shadow Puppets project, and frequently joins them live onstage – and insist he’d always be able to join the band if he wanted.

Alex said: “No one’s ever been bold enough to ask it outright ever before. And no, he hasn’t asked us.”

Guitarist Jamie Cook added: “If he did ask though, we probably would let him.”

Alex then replied: “Yeah, we would in a second. We’ve thought about asking him a few times.”

Miles has supported the band many times and frequently joins them when they play live, for set closer ‘505’.

The Arctic Monkeys are currently touring the US and said they love the convenience the country provides during the monotonous hours of touring.

Bass player Nick O’Malley told NME magazine: “Everything’s there if you want it. Everything you could want to get your hands on – from music equipment to nights out is all available.”

‘Suck it and See’ is out now.
