Arctic Monkeys have announced their first single from ‘Suck It And See’.

The indie group will release ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair’ digitally next month, with a physical released in May and the album following on June 6.

There will also be a limited edition white label vinyl edition of the single, backed by with the song ‘Brick By Brick’ – which has already been released online – for Record Store day on April 16.

The band’s drummer, Matt Helders, has recently told how ‘Suck It And See’ will be more accessible than their last effort, 2009’s ‘Humbug’.

He said: “Some of the songs are a bit more instant. A bit more poppy, certainly than ‘Humbug’ was.

“It’s enjoyable for us and the listener. And it’s maybe a bit more easy going. Not easy listening, but with a few poppier tunes. But in an interesting way.”

The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer James Ford and featured input from Queens Of The Stone age singer Josh Homme, who provides backing vocals on the track ‘ All My Own Stunts’.
