Amy Winehouse will tour Brazil next year.

The ‘Rehab’ hitmaker has rarely performed live – and never with a full backing band – since 2008, and the announcement of the “one off” tour in January appears to be a sign she is ready to make a comeback.

Posting on her official site, one fan, luwinehouse , wrote: “THANKS FOR COMMING TO BRAZIL!”

The singer – who is presently said to be working on the follow up to her multi-million selling ‘Back To Black’ album – will perform four dates in the short tour, including stops in Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

One of Amy’s most recent public performances came in October, when she appeared at a London bar and reportedly reduced onlookers “to tears” with her performance.

Amy borrowed a guitar to sing, and performed her hit ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’, as well as two tracks from her new album.

She told the crowd: “Don’t let anyone tell you you’re wrong and you can’t do it. Keep going. You can make it. Everyone tried to hold me back, but look at me, I’m back.”

Tickets for Amy’s Brazilian shows are on sale from 22nd November from www.livepass.com.br
