Alexis Jordan’s debut album will be “universal”.

The ‘Happiness’ hitmaker’s first album – which will be released early next year – will not feature tracks in only one genre, and will reflect her own eclectic music tastes.

Speaking at the switching on of the Regent Street Christmas lights in London, she told BANG Showbiz: “I’m very excited! My album is out early next year and it’s going to be very universal. It’s not just a pop dance record. It has a little reggae, a little hip-hop swag, so it’s going to be everything.”

Despite her plans for universal appeal, Alexis is not able to reveal any further details about the LP.

She said: “Collaborations? You’ll have to wait until the album is released. They won’t let me tell you anything! Sorry.”

Alexis – who is signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation – recently revealed she would love to work with 10-year-old pop singer Willow Smith on a song because she likes how “cute” she is.

The 18-year-old pop beauty said: “I am a fan of Willow’s. I love her record, ‘Whip My Hair’. She’s very cute. It would be cool to do a record with her. We would have some Roc girl swag.”
